ABOUT US

The South Boston Lithuanian Citizens’ Association (SBLCA) was formed in 1899 for the purpose of pursuing social and cultural opportunities and promoting good citizenship among newly arrived Lithuanian-American immigrants in the United States. The SBLCA established a place where members had access to a private facility for organizational and cultural activities, meetings and social events.

To this day the club mission provides Lithuanian-American social, cultural and educational activities and hosts many Lithuanian-American cultural and social events during the year for members and the community. The SBLCA facility is located in South Boston, Massachusetts, one of America’s oldest and most historic neighborhoods. Our four story building houses a combination of commercial office space, banquet halls and a Lithuanian restaurant and bar in the basement of the building. Banquet halls are available for a variety of events. The bar offers members and guests drinks, imported and domestic beers and favorite beers imported from Lithuania at a very reasonable price.
